The Good, The True, The Beautiful

Our Campus

Ave Maria Academy will have its inaugural year leasing space at Resurrection Lutheran Church at 1250 Lora Smith Rd, Newnan, GA 30265. There, 7 acres of both open grassy areas and woods are available for play and to explore. The church welcomes the desire to garden, and we look forward to enjoying the produce we reap and sharing our first fruits with the poor. Certainly we have sought not so much a campus in the typical sense but a pratum, a haven dedicated and committed for the kind of learning we desire to live out and the faithful environment we seek to cultivate. The term simply means “meadow,” but in the best educational sense the school is just like that, a natural, fertile place of sunlight and soil and growing things that are tended and brought to bear the fruit God means for them to bear. The green expanse of land that comprises the outdoor property of Resurrection Lutheran, including a play structure and many-tabled pavilion, the more than ample room for school work and instruction as well as a kitchen to use indoors, and ability to celebrate Holy Mass all combine to answer many fervent petitions in our favor! It is with gratitude and excitement the doors are opened at this location, which, in addition, is centralized among the cities of Newnan, Sharpsburg, and Peachtree City, almost the exact same distance from each downtown area (about 6.5 miles).
