Monique is a native of Brooks, GA and holds an M.B.A. in Business Administration from Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA. She has diverse experience in finance and project management and formerly held a Project Management Professional certification while in the work force as an international project manager for National Cash Register (NCR). She has also held series 66, 7 and insurance licenses while working for investment services firms. See More
Prior to conversion into the Catholic faith in 2010, she earned a Theological Certificate from the University of the South. For the past 7 years she has taught natural family planning as a certified teacher with SymptoPro Fertility Education, a division of Northwest Family Services. She is married to Dan, is a home school mother of two daughters, a volunteer in the Faith Formation program at St. George Catholic Church, a volunteer for the Healing Ministries at Holy Trinity Catholic Church and an avid beekeeper and gardener. Monique is one of the founding members of Ave Maria Academy.

Daniel, born in Illinois, comes from Dallas, Texas. He holds a B.A. in English from Southern Catholic College, formerly located in Dawsonville Georgia. In Texas he attended the University of Dallas in the Humanities M.A. program, and most recently has been a member of the flagship faculty of Founders Classical Academy of Flower Mound. A firm believer in classical and Catholic learning, he himself spent 18 years of his educational life studying in the classical model at Catholic institutions. When not mounting Parnassus at work he reads the Southern poets and Greek tragedians. He has a thorough and sound knowledge, love and respect for musical tradition, and has been a contract musician in numerous undertakings for the past 12 years.

Mr. Bogan is originally from Battle Creek, MI. He is excited about living in Newnan, Georgia and teaching at Ave Maria Academy. He has a background in music, liberal arts, philosophy, and theology. He studied music at Michigan State University. His focus was saxophone performance. After spending time at Michigan State, he discerned to go to seminary to study and prepare for Priesthood. He studied at Sacred Heart Major Seminary where he received his BA in philosophy. After studying in the seminary he went to Franciscan University where he received his MA in Theology. Mr. Bogan has fun playing music, singing Gregorian Chant and in choir, and reading literature. See More
Among his favorite literature is Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien, and he enjoys reading GK Chesterton. He also enjoys studying and teaching theology. He has experience teaching high school theology, and catechizing middle schoolers as well as elementary schoolers in the faith. He is very excited to teach the beliefs and teachings of the Catholic faith at Ave Maria Academy.
|Mr. Timothy “Tim” Danaher
Adjunct Teacher (6th-8th and High School)
Tim was born and raised in Kansas City, MO, where he received a Jesuit elementary and high school education. He attended the University of Missouri and earned a B.A. and M.A. in Geography. After Graduate School, Tim was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the US Army Signal Corps and served the next 26 years in various overseas and stateside assignments of increasing responsibility. In Germany, he served with the 32nd Army Air Defense Command, 8th Infantry Division, and 1st Armored Division.See More
Upon returning stateside, Tim served with Special Forces Command, US Army Recruiting Command, The Office of the Chief of the Army Reserve, and the US Army Reserve Command. In 2000, Tim was afforded the opportunity to attend and Operation Research/Systems Analysis (ORSA) course at Ft. Lee, VA. While there, he had the joy of being immersed in graduate level mathematics for four long months. After graduating the ORSA course, Tim served the final 14 years of his career as a personnel strength and retention officer. In 2014, he retired in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel from of Fort Bragg, NC. Tim and his family have lived Newnan, GA since 2004. Outside of his military duties, he has served the church in a variety of catechetical positions: Confirmation catechist, Post-Confirmation CCD instructor, Middle School Catechist, and currently an Apologetics Catechist. Tim, and his wife of 20 years, Alira, are parishioners at St. Francis de Sales Church in Mableton, GA and have one daughter Megan.
|Mrs. Jaime DeCesare
Jaime DeCesare was born and raised in Lake Ronkonkoma, New York. She moved with her family in 1989 to Peachtree City. She studied at McIntosh High School, where she received a Fine Arts Diploma, and where she met her husband Eric. They married in 1997 after they had both converted to Catholicism. She felt the call to homeschool her children when her oldest son (now seventeen) entered the first grade. See More
From 2008-2011, Jaime served on the Board of Directors for the Change Your Brain Foundation, a nonprofit assisting families with support and financial needs for their special needs children while attending The Brain Balance Centers. Today, she volunteers her time twice a week as a teacher’s aide at Ave Maria Academy where four of her children attend the hybrid program. Jaime firmly believes that any child can progress forward no matter the challenge with the right atmosphere, support, effort, and approach, and with the understanding that each child is unique in the image of Christ. She and her family are parishioners at Saint Mary Magdalene in Sharpsburg, where she serves as an elementary Faith Formation Catechist. She works part time in Newnan as an Assistant for Scire Integrated Health Center, fulfilling a passion for helping people reach their optimal wellbeing. She currently resides in Senoia with her husband Eric where they continue to homeschool their five children, Alex, Lori, Jacob, Holly, and Ella.

Ave Maria Academy is a new, independent K-9 Classical school in the Catholic tradition located in Newnan, GA, committed to the teachings of the Catholic Church, founded upon a liberal arts learning experience, including the Trivium and Quadrivium, and endeavoring to educate in the True, the Good, and the Beautiful. Applicants should have a liberal arts, classical and/or theology background, no teaching experience required aside from an unwavering sense of duty to cultivate a Catholic culture, manifesting in a common love in Truth and Faith and the pursuit of spiritual and academic growth – not least through a capacity and willingness to teach young people to live in charity and to listen to the divine music animating the world. Liturgy, song, sacraments, stories, nature, joyful suffering and the muses will form and inspire our daily affairs.
