The daily schedule at Ave Maria Academy follows the rhythm of the prayer of the Church including an All-school weekly Holy Mass, the source and summit of our academic and spiritual community. The school day begins with Morning Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours. At noon, we pause to pray the Angelus, giving special honor to the Incarnation of our Lord Jesus and our patroness, the Blessed Virgin Mary. Each day closes with a recitation of all or part of the Holy Rosary. Blocks of time for subjects like Mathematics and Latin provide level-appropriate learning for each student, and the Gardening window allows for hands-on experience for all ages and provides extended time for experiments in natural science and for service projects. Students also enjoy daily recess and exercise allowing appropriate time for leisure and play, essential for good study habits and living the good life. The Memory periods toward the end of the day give time for poetry, Holy Scripture, musical pieces or other memorization assignments and let students prepare to recite before their class or the entire school.
